I expected this (requested by the child) to be a pack of nonsense. I was consoled by The Guardian's film critic who went so far as to make it the film of his week. And then it turned out to be a lovely shiny romp. But the second film this year to feature an almost entirely non-white cast and for this above all, it should be celebrated. For those that really know their stuff, I gather it's spooky. I'd almost watch it again out of anthropological curiosity. And because the script was funny and sharp. And they were all very beautiful.
